Our Partners and Investees

Our Investees
The Aegis Peace Fund has identified numerous entrepreneurs and leaders with home-grown ventures that can enable self sufficient futures for young people and kickstart their dreams. The bottleneck to the viability and growth of their enterprises, is the lack of support and flexible finance available. We endeavours to bridge this gap. Here are a few examples of investees that build our pipeline:

Chilli Mash Company

Chilli Mash Company is a UK based condiment manufacturer specialising in raw chilli, chilli mashes and purees. The chilli is sourced and part processed in Rwanda. It creates social impact by transforming the livelihoods of chilli farmers and creates employment opportunities in Rwanda

Cold Supply Chain

Cold Food Supply is setting up five frozen fish distribution points across the Bangui region. This will support small fish traders, who currently travel long distances to the only cold store in central Bangui to acquire their supply each day. It addresses an aspect of food insecurity and creates sustainable livelihoods.

PeaceEdu Initiative

Founded by Albert Rutikanga, a survivor of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi, The Peace Initiative has set up farming and garden enterprises in the Eastern Province of Rwanda in Kyonza to provide sustainable livelihoods for the community and foster reconciliation and social cohesion between genocide survivors and former perpetrators. He was inspired through Aegis' Peace Education programme to set up this organisation.

Good Human Coffee

Good Human Coffee is a three-way partnership between the Muyumbu Coffee Washing Station and Farmers in the Eastern Province of Rwanda, Coffee Holdings Group in the UK and Champion Humanity Enterprises. By partnering together, improvements in coffee husbandry have led to a specialty grade coffee and economic trade benefits to the farmers and workers who pick and transport the coffee. Climate change is already altering the seasons so now is the right time to experiment with different growing techniques to be able to adapt to these changes and sustain the livelihoods of farming communities in Rwanda.
